Title: Debugging SBC68EC
Post by: jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj on July 31, 2013, 11:07:50 AM
Is there a way to debug an SBC68EC with a pickit2 or a pickit3? I remember seeing something on the ICD2 a while back but can't find it anymore. I am using MPLAB v8.91 with the c18 compilier.

Thanks,
Steven

Hi, you can use the PICKit 2, PICKIt 3, ICD 2 or ICD 3 to debug your board via MPLAB or MPLAB X. All you need is a programming adaptor. For the PICKit you need the PGM2KIT, and for the ICD you need the PGM06 adaptor. See:

My SBC68EC has a bootloader that I can use to program the board via ethernet cable. I have heard the bootloader will be wiped out if I do  use a debugger incorrectly. Is there somewhere I can find instructions for correctly configuring my PICKIT 3?
