General Questions / SBC68EC dead?
« on: April 21, 2015, 02:32:34 PM »
Hello,

My english is not so good, just let me do a list of what happen with my board just to know If I can thru it away and buy an SBC66 board:

-the last (and unic) that was working great on it was websrvr_mc_hw221 with MY_DEFAULT_IP_BYTE1, 2 3 and 4, mask and http port changed in projdefs.h) I allways had doubts because the proper one for me should be  websrvr_mc_hw320.

-suddenly ip address and http port can't be changed. Netloader connect, the modified hex file seems like is uploaded, but it's always on the used ip address. However I can make changes in mxwebsrvr.c file, and that works (???)

- finaly now, in safe mode it just can be connected with netloader to one of the addresses (192.168.1.1), and after upload any .hex file, it just doesn't answer any http request. In normal mode it just doesn't exist on my lan...

Is possible that the flax memory is corrupted? first just on part of the higher addresses than 0x800, and finaly afecting the bootloader?

Thank you very much for any eventual response..

Hello,

I finaly was able to build the project with mplab 8.50 and mcc18 compiler. The first I did was change the ip from the projdefs.h file, changing the original one (10.1.0.1) for 192.168.1.45, and the http port from 80 to 45. It worked fine, but my internet provider didn't want to open this port for me, and they offer the 2000. So I thought there is no problem because is easy to change it again. My surprise is now, after all, I build the project with the new values, but the sbc is always on the 192.168.1.45.
It is very strange because I'm able to add code on the mxwebsrv.c, and the changes I add at the place where says "//Add your application speicifc tasks here." works (just an specific value for an output port), however it doesn't change the ip and http port number!

Not even the download hex file changes the ip to the original one!

it's driving me crazy. Is there somebody who had the same problem anytime?

thank you very much

Hello again.

thanks for your help last time. I'm having a new problem, and maybe somebody could help me again. It whould be great.

I'm just trying to change the http port from 80 to an other one, because my Internet Provider can't open the 80 for me. So I decided to use an other one, for exemple 45 (I checked and seems like it is not usualy used). I donwloaded the MPlab 8.50 IDE, and then installed MPlab C18 compilier on C:/mcc18v302 folder. I changed the port on projdefs.h on http configuration zone and tryed to build the project. At the begining there were some problems with the language toolsuit location. I found the information I have to locate the compiler on that folder, etc.  Now seems like the problem is there are some files lost, and I'm wondering how is it possible if I didn't replace or erased anything.

I'm using a SBC68EC HW: v3.20 BLN: V1.1 and SW: V3.06.

How is possible the default project cant be buit? It should work, isn't it?

I attached an image with the message.

Thank you very much in advance.

Rafa

Thank you very much. I suposed It was going to be something easy.. but easy just for the people who know how! like you ;-) thanks again.

You talk about a bug which is the numbers after the dot are just the two more significant the ones that works, and the the therth or more, are just the same... but I have an other question. I don't need it because it is enought accurated to monitor my battery, but I know you are realy curious so I just tell... I noted that the values of %n27, in 5V scale (as it is in default), just can take some values. I mean it's always 4.00 4.10 4.21 4.31 4.33 4.43 4.53 4.55 4.65 4.75.. but never between them! I wander why because is suposed you can get realy accurated samples...

Anyway, thank you very much. Now I have a nice system to manage the engine! with my phone, tab or pc

Ethernet Boards (8-bit) / show ADC on a webpage

Hello,

I'm monitoring a 24 v value with an analogic imput on my SBC68EC configured for 5v, using three resistances as a divisor, so I'm reducing the original value from 24v max to 4v, taking the value between the resistances (I don't know if I explain it properly, my english is not so good). At the end, using the default web pages, I have 4v when the real value is 24, 5v when it is 30 etc.
I whould like to display the real valor, but I don't know how to convert localy on the browser. I gess it is easy with an script. On the htm page thre is the value %n27 and this displays the valor.

Could somebody tell me where I can get a manual about how to use this valor as a number and be able to multiply it x6?

thank you very much

Hello everybody,

This is my first post on the forum. I'm trying to find a solution and maybe somebody whould like to help me?
I bought a unit SBC68EC in 2006 I think, when I was finishing studies, and I made my project to get my diploma. After that I left everything in a drawer and dedicated to other things, nothing about electronics..
Now I need to manage just a relé as a starter for a AC generator, so I was still able to make an small hardware as a dougther board for my sbc68ec. My problem is that I can't change the web pages because the link to donwload the Network Bootloader doesn't work any more.
I also tryed with the version I used in 2006, but I was using a windows XP computer, seems like it doesn't work on my w 8.1
There is no link avalable  at the old website, and I can't find it anywhere else.

Is there any way to donwload a version for my SO?
Is possible to change the files in the memory of my sbc68ec with Netcruzer used for SBC66EC?

Thank you very much in advance

Hello everybody!

The first is say sorry for my english, for sure I'm going to make a lot of faults because I'm not english speaker and I'm just using it not so usualy things.

In the university I was using a SBC65EC board for practice. I finished my grade hatting computers and programing, and I began working in an other field absolutly diferent. Now, more than 3 years after, I want to make a litle programer for my garden. The first I thought was "it's realy easy to do after my progect in university", and I bought a board to Modtronix.

Well, my problem (the first and not the last, for sure) is that I can't install the compiler. I tried intall it over windows 7  and over windows XP, but the problem is allways the same: the intalation is succesfully, but I can not find the program!!
There is the folder MCC18 and it seems all corect, but I can't execute the program because there isn't any place to execute it. In the folther MCC18 I can find the unistaller and the unistalation works well too!!

The software I tried to install is MPLAB C for PIC18 v3.34 in LITE mode   from the url: http://www.microchip.com/stellent/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=1406&dDocName=en536656  is it the free student version you speak about on the begining of this foro?

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance!

Ah! maybe is usefull know that the file created when I install the software begans like:
