Network Bootloader v1.07 installer installs v1.06?!
« on: May 08, 2011, 02:30:08 PM »
http://www.modtronix.com/soft/netloader/ ("Network Bootloader") and http://www.modtronix.com/soft/mxd/ ("Embedded Debugger") both point to http://www.modtronix.com/soft/netloader/netloader_jre150_v107.exe as the Windows Installer for the "new version".  That installer installs Network Bootloader V1.06 (on its window title and Help, About), and Embedded Debugger v1.03 (on its window title and Help, About).  http://www.modtronix.com/soft/netloader/ also points to file http://www.modtronix.com/soft/netloader/version_netloader.txt for version information.  That file doesn't mention "debugger" but says "V1.07 Modtronix Network Bootloader - 2008 July 23, Now uses rxtx serial port library instead of Sun Comm library."

Is there a version history for Embedded Debugger?

Does the installer install the wrong version of Network Bootloader (v1.06 instead of v1.07), or is the version given on Network Bootloader's title bar and "Help, About" wrong (saying "v1.06" when it should say "v1.07")?

Rick,
I think it really is 1.07 and the help is wrong. See my previous complaints here:

Thanks Jake -- Good to see I am not the only one that noticed.  I see that nobody from Modtronix responded to your post either -- I don't think they monitor their own Forums.  So apparently Network Bootloader v1.06 and v1.07 both say "v1.06" on their window title bars and "Help, About..." pages.  Or said another way, if your title bar and Help say "v1.06" you might have v1.06 or you might have v1.07.  But if you installed from netloader_jre150_v107.exe then you have v1.07 (and Embedded Debugger v1.03), most likely, I think.  :-)

Hello, can someone put the latest boot loader as well as firmware online or eventually email me, as the links are broken on both modtronix.com and old.modtronix.com
Thanks in advance for your help,
Frederic.

Wow, I am still subscribed here after about 7 years of inactivity.  I looked but don't have the desired files any longer.  But I did find the attached file from May 2011 that might help.

I spoke too soon and found netloader_jre150_v107.exe on my 2011 Dell D600 Windows XP laptop that hasn't been on in many years!  I tried twice to upload it as an attachment here in the forum (10 MB) but twice it appeared to fail.  I will attempt to get it to you through forum messaging.

Thx Rick.
Just to let know everybody (in case Rick is not the only one to still keep an eye on this forum), that Modtronix have fixed the broken links and all latest tools and firmware are accessible again.

I'm considering using these SBC65/68 boards for some nautic applications where I need to capture analog, digital in + have to.close few relays with the capability to integrate with a Rpi via network, and after searching quite a lot I have entered found better match. I know this is outdated but if it does the job...

Cheers,
Frédéric.
