Trouble Opening Webserver
« on: July 11, 2013, 06:14:43 AM »
Hello,

I have an SBC66ECL and an SBC66EC. I am new to using these boards but I have been able to upload the bootloader and firmware via the USB to them with little problem. However, I am not able to open the website of either board. I have tried the following addresses:

10.1.0.1
http://mchpboard
192.168.56.1

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I found the solution. A co-worker told me to set a static IP. I was able to connect to the website after that :)

Hi, the easiest way is to enable a DHCP server on your network, and access the SBC66EC and SBC66ECL boards via their netBIOS names. In a browser, enter:
http://mchpboard

Please note that all SBC66EC and SBC66ECL boards are delivered with the same netBIOS name! To use multiple of them on your network, you have give each one a unique netBIOS name. This is very easy to do. Just put your first SBC board on your network, access it's web page in a browser (http://mchpboard), and go to "Network Configuration" section. Here you can change the netBIOS name. At next power-up, the SBC board will have the new netBIOS name.
