Hi, sorry for late reply! We hope to have it available February/March 2015. Could you use the 915MHz version for testing so long? They will be identical, except for the circuit will be for 868Mhz. We are looking at getting CE approval, but initial version will not have it. I am quite sure it will pass, seeing that we designed these boards with assistance from Semtech Engineers, and made several changes to prototype for low radiation. All versions from next year will also have a metal RF shield covering all RF components.

Thanks will wait for the EU version.
BTW the modtronix modules look very well designed.

For those looking to use cheap Chines LoRa modules with tests we only got to 350 meters.
These modules didn't allow register setting and had 0 dbi (gain) antenna

BTW. You will only get to many Kilometers range through good LoRa radio settings and antennas with gain etc.
Perhaps a bit guidance on that would be useful hear.

Feature request an UART based AT command interface would be a very good addition.
Other LoRa module manufacturers offer this as a simple means of integration to a host.

The obvious focus with LoRa is "long range", but it works extremely well in buildings.
I have supplied and commissioned many wireless automation system like EnOcean.
LoRa beats Everything hands down!
