Problem with Programming Sbc44uc
« on: February 18, 2008, 07:27:25 AM »

I have an sbc44uc board purchased via SK UK about 1 month ago.  I am on a steep learning curve!  I have managed to get your demonstration program to work, ie Flash 1 and examples 1 & 2.  These are .hex files (there are no simple examples of .pbp programs to get started on).

I have pic basic pro but cannot get a program to load and run.  This is how far I have got:

In MCS I have the following code:

DEFINE LOADER_USED 1  'Using Mecanique 18f4550 loader

TRISB.6=0  'Make RB6 output to flash led
loop: HIGH PortB.6
       Pause 500
       LOW PortB.6
       Pause 400
GOTO loop

Then compile above, ie Testpic1.pbp  (compiles without errors.)
Then open PDFSUSB.exe (Picdem USB demo tool - version 1) and LOAD HEX FILE.
However, I now note code in program memory 000008 to 000800 HEX has code in it but should have xx xx xx  xx xx etc.
I believe this will overwrite the bootloader/usb code?

Can you please help/advise (in very simple terms!)

Many thanks.
