Hello all.
 The "dev16tr1.pdf" say that this board uses a standar controller chip and that the LCD displays datasheet can be downloaded from the DEV16T product page.
  I search but cannot find this product page the modtronix web site. Some one can tall me what is the controller chip for the dev16

Nearly all 2x16 line LCD displays use a compatible chip, that use the same command set. From our site, you can download the LCD datasheet from here:
http://www.modtronix.com/products/lcd/mc1602b-series.pdf

You can however find heaps of additional info on the internet about controlling a 2x16 line LCD display.

My Bad..

I forgot to d/l the 95nt driver for the i/o port. I downloaded it and rebooted and all is well now. This LCD is great, the tutorial on the web for connecting to the ParPort are great.
